New Delhi: Defending champions Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore by 35 runs in a high-voltage encounter at the Rajiv Gandhi cricket stadium on Wednesday. Chasing mammoth total of 208 runs, the Shane Watson led team could only manage 172 runs. Swashbuckling all-rounder Yuvraj Singh was named as the Man of the Match for his outstanding knock of 62. Yuvraj also fired his fastest fifty in IPL history. Star Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh praised Yuvraj’s scintillating knock. Talking to ABP News, Harbhajan said, “Yuvraj’s innings was the major difference between the two sides. Yuvraj hammered Royal Challengers Bangalore bowlers to submission with 27-ball-62 as Sunrisers Hyderabad posted 207 runs which is a good sign” Yuvraj's innings had seven fours and three sixes in 27 deliveries. Hyderabad’s bowling department was at its brutal best as Rashid Khan, Ashish Nehra and Bhuvneshwar Kumar picked 2 wickets each.
