Euro Cup Awards: Portugal's Cristiano Ronaldo Wins Golden Boot Award, Italy's Gianluigi Donnarumma Player Of Tournament

Euro 2020 Awards: Cristiano Ronaldo of Portugal has been declared the Golden Boot winner. Italy's goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma has been named Player of the Tournament.

Euro 2020 Awards: In the final match of Euro Cup 2020, Italy won the title by defeating England 3-2 in a penalty shootout yesterday. This is the second time that Italy has become the Euro champion. On the other hand, England has not won any major title since the World Cup victory in 1966. At the same time, Cristiano Ronaldo of Portugal has won the prestigious Golden Boot Award in this tournament. Italy's goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma was adjudged the Player of the Tournament for his excellent performance. He is the first goalkeeper to achieve this feat. 

Golden Boot winner Ronaldo managed to score 5 goals in his 4 matches of the tournament. Patrick Schick of the Czech Republic also scored 5 goals in 5 matches. But Ronaldo also helped in getting a goal, due to which he became the winner of this award and Patrick Schick had to be content with the silver boot. In this list, France's Karim Benzema finished third, scoring 4 goals in 4 matches. 

Italy got huge prize money 

For winning the Euro Cup 2020 title, Italy was given a huge amount of Rs 103,50,00,000 as a reward. On the other hand, England, the runner-up of the tournament, was given a prize money of Rs 72.48 crore. Italy and Spain scored the maximum goals 13-13 in this tournament. At the same time, the defense of the England team was the best in this tournament. England conceded only 2 goals in 7 matches. 

Italy broke England's dream 

At the very beginning of this match played at the historic Wembley Stadium in London, Luke Shaw scored a brilliant goal to give England the lead. By the end of the first half, England maintained their 1-0 lead over Italy. However, in the second half, Italy's Leonardo Bonucci scored in the 67th minute of the match to level the match at 1-1. In this way, this exciting match, which lasted for 120 minutes, was tied at 1-1. Italy then beat England 3-2 in a penalty shootout.
