It was the 78th over of South Africa's first innings on the third day of the match. It was the third ball of the over and it was Kagiso Rabada batting in front of England bowler Matty Potts who bowled a short-pitched delivery to Rabada. The South African played a pull shot but couldn't middle it and Broad, standing at mid-on, ran backwards and jumped to complete the ball, leaving fans stunned.
After winning the toss, South Africa bowled out England for just 165 runs in the first innings. South Africa scored 326 runs in the first innings and took a lead of 161 runs on Friday. In the second innings too, England's batting lineup collapsed in front of Africa's bowling and the team could score only 149 runs. The 1st Test between India and England ended in just three days as the result of this match came within just 6 sessions.
