Dale Steyn hints at return to international cricket
New Delhi: South African spearhead Dale Steyn is all set to make a comeback after spending 10 months on the sidelines due to Shoulder injury.
Steyn did not feature in the South African side after returning from Australia tour in November 2016. He was expected to make a comeback within 6 months but his return postponed as rehabilitation took more time than expected.
The 34-year-old took to his Instagram account to announce is return to international cricket. The right-arm bowler wrote, “The wait is over.”
With South Africa struggling, especially, in the bowling department, Steyn’s return might a big relief for the Faf du Plesis led side. The Proteas are scheduled to play Bangladesh in 2-match Test series and Steyn could be well in line to make a comeback.
Steyn is one of the most successful bowlers to represent South Africa. The 5’10 tall bowler made his debut in 2004 and went on to clinch 417 Test wickets in 85 matches.
