In the ongoing World Cup 2023 game between India and Sri Lanka on Thursday, the Island nation got a flying start as their pacer Dilshan Madushanka gave a huge blow to the host nation. The Sri Lankan pacer cleaned up Rohit Sharma on the second ball of the game at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The Indian skipper has played a few outstanding knocks so far in the World Cup 2023 and he stepped out to bat with the same intention but then he got dismissed after hitting a boundary.

Currently, Virat Kohli and opener Shubman Gill are trying to revive the Indian innings after an early wicket. Earlier in the game, it was the Sri Lankan skipper Kusal Mendis who won the toss and decided to ball against India. Talking about the semi-final, if India seals a win against Sri Lanka, they will become the first side among all 10 teams to secure a spot.
