Australia Women Beat Pakistan Women: The legend of Australia Women Cricket adds yet another note to their iconic chapter of Women's T20 World Cup, as the reigning T20 world champions extend their unbeaten run in the tournament to 14 games, a run that includes three title triumphs and 3 wins at this year's edition.

Alyssa Healy's side restricted Pakistan Women to 82, and chased down the target inside 11 overs to make it 6 points for themselves in Group A and assure their progression into the semis.

Australia Women's last group game is against India Women on Sunday, in what will be the repeat of last edition's semi-final, where the Women in Blue suffered a heart-breaking defeat.

The stakes will be different this time around, as Harmanpreet Kaur's side will be in a do-or-die fixture, while Australia Women sit comfortably up top with +2.7 Net Run Rate alongside 6 points.

Australia Women won the toss and elected to bowl first. The vast difference in quality between the two sides was pretty evident with on-paper strength, and the reigning T20 world champions justified their dominance with a thumping performance in the first innings by restricting Pakistan within double digits.

Aliya Riaz is proving to be a bright spot for Pakistan Women's cricket, as she continues to produce an innings of sheer determination, fight-back, and class. The Pakistan Women all-rounder was the highest scorer of the side on Friday with 26 runs in 32 balls, which included 3 fours, before getting dismissed by Annabel Sutherland.

Ashleigh Gardner was the pick of the bowlers with four wickets, and was well-complemented by the likes of Annabel Sutherland and Georgia Wareham, who picked two wickets-each.

In reply, Australia Women were all business, as they aimed at crossing the finish line way before time. Skipper Alyssa Healy led from front by scoring 37 off 23, as Australia chased won the total inside 11 overs.
