Watch: Virat Kohli Shouts In Anger At KS Bharat After He Denies Single During 4th Test Vs AUS

In the 109th over of the game, the former India skipper was batting and wanted to take a single but then the Andhra-based player turned down his request.

The Indian team dominated day 4 of the fourth and final Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy at Narendra Modi Stadium at Ahmedabad. After Gill’s century, Virat Kohli also played a crucial role in India’s dominating run as he started batting from where he left off on day 3. He went on to get a century, ending his drought. The last time Kohli scored a century in whites was way back in 2019.

During the initial session on day 4, India lost Ravindra Jadeja. Wicketkeeper Bharat came in to bat with Kohli. Since Shreyas Iyer complained of back pain, Bharat was promoted up the order. Meanwhile, in the 109th over of the game, the former India skipper was batting and wanted to take a single but then the Andhra-based player turned down his request and as a result, he had to face Kohli’s death stare. Virat then screamed at him because it almost led to Kohli losing his wicket.

Bharat then took his place and played a good knock of 44 runs before getting out off Nathan Lyon. The former India captain crossed three figures mark in Test cricket after over 1200 days and notched up his 28th Test hundred. Kohli reached the landmark on the 241st ball he faced in his innings and then celebrated calmly by kissing his wedding ring. This was also Kohli's eighth century against the Kangaroos in Test match cricket.

Earlier, heroics from Usman Khawaja and Cameron Green helped Australia post a massive 480 runs in the first innings. In reply, Shubman Gill registered his second Test century alongside Kohli who also got a hundred helping India reduce the trial to just 8 runs on Day 4 of the Test match.
