WATCH: Smith, Maxwell make fun of Virat Kohli's injury

New Delhi: India skipper Virat Kohli returned to action on day 3 of the third Test match against Australia in Ranchi. The 28-year-old suffered shoulder injury during Australian innings and was sidelined for the entire day 2.

Virat came to bat at his regular Number 4 spot after over-night batsman Murali Vijay gave up his wicket at stroke of lunch but the Indian skipper’s time at the crease was short lived as he could only survive for 23 deliveries and managed to pull 6 runs before giving a catch to Steve Smith on Pat Cummins’ Delivery.

Soon after taking catch to send Virat Kohli back to the pavilion, Australia Skipper Steve Smith Mocked Virat by putting one hand on his shoulder to conclude his celebration

Glenn Maxwell was the other Australian who followed his captain footsteps, having sprinted hard to dive to prevent Cheteshwar Pujara boundary in the similar part of the field where Kohli suffered his injury, Maxwell saw the opportunity and mocked the Indian skipper by clutching his right sholuder.

It all began in the 58th over of the Indian innings when Cheteshwar Pujara was adjudged not out on Steve O’Keefe's delivery and the Visitors decided to challenge the field umpire’s decision. However, Pujara survived the review and captain Kohli rushed to the dressing room balcony to cheer for Pujara
