Watch: Rinku Singh Hammers 3 Consecutive Sixes In Super Over In UP T20 League
Rinku hammered a hat-trick of sixes as he came up against left-arm spinner Shiva Singh.
Rinku Singh does not need an introduction after the kind of performance he put up in the last edition of the IPL. While playing for Kolkata Knight Riders, he smashed 5 consecutive sixes against Gujarat Titans. He did the unthinkable as he came up against Yash Dayal in the last over of the game. The Uttar Pradesh-based batter did something identical, hitting three consecutive sixes to win the match for his side in a Super Over decider.
In the game between Meerut Mavericks and Kashi Rudras in the UP T20 league, Rinku took the game by storm and played a heroic knock. With 17 runs were needed in one over that is when Rinku hammered a hat-trick of sixes as he came up against left-arm spinner Shiva Singh. Rinku smashed a maximum on the second ball of the over and then followed it up by hitting another six at deep mid-wicket. Rinku then ended the game by hammering another big six over long off.

Talking about the game, both teams ended up scoring 181 in 20 overs. Even though Rinku managed to score only 15 runs off 22 balls, the UP franchise sent him out in the Super Over, and he didn't disappoint. Rinku Singh smashed 18 runs off just 3 balls and won the match for Meerut Mavericks in the Super Over.
On the back of his consistent performances in the IPL, Rinku Singh got included in the recently passed T20I series against Ireland and he even got a spot in the Indian team for the upcoming Asian Games.
“Sapne jaisa hi hai(This is like a dream). I don't want to wake up anytime soon. It's an amazing feeling, not easy for me to describe in words. I have reached this level from absolutely nothing. I am an emotional person, and every time I talk to my parents, we end up crying, "Rinku was quoted as saying by Indian Express.
"I have been with the KKR for six years. I got my chances initially but failed to make those count. I have learned a lot during my early years with the team. I worked hard on my batting with Abhishek Nayar sir at the KKR academy in Mumbai. All that hard work is paying off," said Rinku.
