Speaking of Virat Kohli's contributions, the 34-year-old has been in sensational form for India at the 2023 World Cup. He is among the highest run-scorer in this World Cup, amassing 354 runs in five matches. Indian team captain Rohit Sharma is not far behind either with 311 runs in his five matches.
Kohli's exceptional form has played a pivotal role in India's unbeaten streak in the 2023 World Cup. He contributed significantly by scoring 85 runs against Australia, securing a win for the team in their opening game. Subsequently, he notched up a half-century against Afghanistan, and after a relatively subdued performance against Pakistan, the 34-year-old added another century to his record against Bangladesh. He then followed this up with an impressive knock of 95 runs against New Zealand.
As the Indian team aspires to go the distance in the ODI World Cup 2023, they will rely heavily on Kohli's form. India currently hold the top position on the points table in the ICC Men's World Cup 2023 and are scheduled to face the defending champions, England, in their next fixture.
