WATCH: Team India's Unique Preparation To Tackle Hardik Pandya's Absence In India vs England ICC Cricket World Cup Match

Hardik Pandya was expected to return for India vs England ODI World Cup 2023 match in Lucknow on October 29. BCCI recently revealed that Pandya will remain out of action for some more days.

Rohit Sharma-led team India will square off against reigning champions England in their sixth ODI World Cup 2023 match. The India vs England ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 match will take place at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. 

Hardik Pandya to miss IND vs ENG ICC Cricket World Cup match in Lucknow on Sunday

Team India's star all-rounder Hardik Pandya suffered a leg injury during the ODI World Cup 2023 match between India and Bangladesh on October 19 in Pune, after which he was ruled out from India's next ODI World Cup 2023 match against New Zealand in Dharamshala on October 22. It was expected that Hardik would return for India vs England ODI World Cup 2023 match in Lucknow on October 29 but the BCCI recently shared an update on the all-rounder's fitness, revealing that he had a Grade 1 ligament tear in his ankle and will remain out of action for some more days. 

India batters including Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma bowling in the nets ahead of IND vs ENG ODI World Cup 2023 match 

India played just five bowlers in match against New Zealand. Virat Kohli was asked to bowl, complete Hardik's over in this match. It is highly likely that one of the Indian batters might be asked to bowl as a part-timer during India vs England ODI World Cup 2023 match. Several pictures and videos have gone viral on the internet in which Virat can be seen bowling to Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill.
