Later, in the game, Kohli showcased a magnificent performance with the bat. He came at the crease after a massive failure of the Indian top batting order. He scored a half-century and ended up scoring 68 runs off 93 balls.
The Indian captain played a key role in rebuilding the Indian innings after losing the key players with the likes of Shikhar Dhawan, Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane early.
