Virat Kohli 100% fit to perform against Ireland, England

The neck injury sustained during IPL 2018’s match No. 51 didn’t allow him to make debut in English County

Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli has given delightful news to his fans right before leaving for the forthcoming series in Ireland and England.

Virat has stated that he has recovered from his neck injury and perfectly fit to perform in the United Kingdom.

Ahead of leaving for the tour, Virat, along with head coach Ravi Shastri, interacted with the media personnel. On being asked about the condition of his injury, Virat gave a confident nod and said, “I’m 100 per cent ready to go.”

“My neck is fine now. I have had 6 to 7 sessions in Mumbai followed by good practice. I’m absolutely ready to go. I went through the fitness test as well so, the body is feeling fine. I'm actually very excited to get back on the field which is very rare when you are playing so much of cricket but, this sort of breaks really helps. They make you feel mentally fresh and excited to back on the pitch again,” added the Indian skipper.

Here's the video:

Virat was scheduled to make his County debut with Surrey earlier this month. Thus, he was unavailable for the one-off Test against Afghanistan and Ajinkya Rahane took the responsibility.

However, the injury sustained during IPL 2018’s match No. 51, against Sunrisers Hyderabad, didn’t allow him to feature in the Surrey County side.
