Speaking to the press on Sunday, Komatireddy pointed out the immense success of ‘Pushpa 2’ at the box office and suggested that Allu Arjun should take responsibility by contributing from the film's earnings. According to Gulte, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy said, “Allu Arjun was asked not to come to the theatre, but he did anyway. His open top car show drove huge crowds, which resulted in the death of a mother named Revathi while her son is battling for his life. When the police intimated Allu Arjun about this, he still insisted on watching the film This is purely an act of ignorance and negligence."

“They are proudly saying that their film collected Rs 2000 crore and Rs 3000 crore. In that case, why can’t they pay the family of the deceased at least Rs 20 crore? This is my demand to Arjun, and the makers of that film to pay the family Rs 20 crore." Komatireddy added.

For those unfamiliar, Allu Arjun found himself in legal trouble following a tragic incident at the ‘Pushpa 2’ premiere, where a stampede broke out. The chaos ensued when Allu Arjun stepped out of his car to greet fans, leading to the crowd becoming uncontrollable. Tragically, a woman lost her life, and her son was severely injured, requiring hospitalisation.

In response, Allu Arjun announced that he would donate Rs 25 crore to the victim's family and expressed his heartfelt apologies. Earlier this month, he was arrested in connection with the stampede but was later granted bail. The investigation is ongoing, and Hyderabad Police recently released a 10-minute video detailing the events of that tragic day at Sandhya Theatre.

Pushpa 2 premiere stampede

According to the video footage released by the Hyderabad Police, Allu Arjun’s claims about leaving the venue after being informed about the overcrowding have been contradicted. The video, complete with timestamps, shows that the actor remained in the theatre until nearly midnight, despite police requests for him to leave. It also shows the actor being escorted out by the deputy commissioner of police (DCP), assistant commissioner of police (ACP), and other officers, which goes against his previous statement.

The police also presented a letter they had sent to the theatre management, instructing them not to allow Allu Arjun or his film crew to attend the premiere. In the midst of this controversy, protestors gathered outside the actor's house on Sunday, demanding justice for the victim. The protestors vandalized parts of the property, causing damage. Allu Arjun has yet to respond to these latest developments.
