Vijay Hazare Trophy: Hyderabad defeats Andhra Pradesh in a nail-biting encounter

In the Vijay Hazare Trophy Fourth Quarter Finals today, Hyderabad defeated Andhra Pradesh by 14 runs. With this victory, the Hyderabad team has confirmed their place in the semi-finals. After losing the toss and put to bat first, Hyderabad scored 281 runs at the loss of eight wickets in 50 overs. In reply, Andhra Pradesh could only manage 267/9.

On behalf of Hyderabad, Sandeep scored an impressive 96, missing a century by just four runs. Sangakkara hit 97 fours in his innings and hit seven fours and a six. Apart from Sandeep, Tanmay Agarwal contributed 31 runs, Captain Ambati Rayudu contributed 28 runs and Kola Sumanth 27 runs.

Just five runs away from a brilliant century, Vihari (95) got bold on Siraj's clever delivery. Vihari faced 99 balls in his innings and hit eight sixes and four sixes. Prior to Vihari's departure, Andhra Pradesh lost wickets of Ashwin Heber (38), Ricky Bhui (52).

For Hyderabad, Siraj bagged most three wickets. Ravi Kiran bagged two successes. For Andhra Pradesh, Bandaru Ayyappa, Ginath Reddy and Yara Prithviraj got two wickets each.
