Umpire In Pakistan Dies Of Heart Attack During Cricket Match

In a shocking turn of events, a cricket umpire in Pakistan passed away on Monday while supervising a club-level tournament match. Naseem Sheikh was a popular figure in the cricket circles and was standing in a match of a lawyers’ tournament at the TMC Ground. During the game, he suffered a cardiac arrest and fell down on the ground. Soon he was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead by the doctors. The match organizers were in a state of shock after the incident. One of them described the incident and said, “He fell down while supervising the match. He was rushed in an ambulance to a nearby hospital but expired on the way. Sheikh, who was 56, was a butcher by profession but his love for the game had led him to become a qualified umpire. According to reports, he was a heart patient and had undergone an angiography earlier this year.
