Two West Indies Players Faint On Field In T20 Against Pakistan, Match Continued
Two West Indies players collapsed on the ground within a span of 10 minutes, during the second T20I against Pakistan.
The second T20I between West Indies Women and Pakistan Women on Friday, July 2, shocked everyone when two players of the host team collapsed on the field.two West Indies women cricketers Chinelle Henry and Chedean Nation collapsed during the 2nd West Indies vs Pakistan match in Antigua on Friday.
The incident occurred during Pakistan's batting, where Chinelle Henry and Chedean Nation were stationed across the stadium for fielding.
Both the occurring took place in a span of 10 minutes after which the two players from the home team were taken to the hospital. As per a Cricket West Indies (CWI) spokesperson, both are “conscious and stable”. The reason for their collapse is still unknown.
"Chinelle Henry and Chedean Nation were taken to hospital for medical attention," CWI said in a statement. "Both Henry and Nation are conscious and stable at hospital and are being assessed."
The more surprising factor was that the match continued as West Indies Women brought on two substitutes with the home side eventually declared winners by seven runs on Duckworth-Lewis-Stern after another interruption.
After the setback, West Indies Women beat Pakistan women by seven runs in the second T20I. Windies scored 125/6 after batting first. Wicket-keeper Kycia Knight top-scored for the hosts with 30 from 20 balls. Fatima Sana was the pick of the bowlers for Pakistan and returned with figures of 2/18 in her four overs.While chasing, Pakistan could only score 103/6 in 18 overs. Nida Dar scored 29 from 39 balls.
