T20 World Cup: Deepak Or Bhuvneshwar? Former Pakistan Spinner Danish Kaneria Reveals His Choice
Deepak Chahar is currently playing in the three-match series against South Africa. He also scalped two wickets in the first game.
The ICC T20 World Cup is scheduled to take place in Australia from October 16. The final of the mega event will be played at Melbourne Cricket Ground on November 13. There are a total of 16 teams taking part in the tournament and they have also declared their squads. The former wrist spinner of Pakistan, Danish Kaneria commented on India’s squad and said that Deepak Chahar can be a better choice than Bhuvneshwar Kumar in Australian conditions.
The Indian selectors have taken Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah, Harshal Patel, and Arshdeep Singh in the 15-member squad. Players like Mohammed Shami and Deepak Chahar have been included as reserves.
Kaneria on his YouTube channel said, “One thing is clear, if there is no swing, Bhuvneshwar Kumar will be punished. He has been hit in the death overs and there will be hard tracks in Australia. Deepak Chahar is a far better option than Bhuvneshwar Kumar and he can also bat when required”.
