Sudeep Tyagi Retires From All Forms Of Cricket, Thanks MS Dhoni And Suresh Raina Among Others

Sudeep Tyagi Retires: The right-arm speedster, who played for Uttar Pradesh in the Ranji Trophy, also played for MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Tyagi made an instant impact in his debut and made heads turn in the Ranji Trophy 2007-08 season.

Indian cricketer Sudeep Tyagi has decided to announce retirement from all forms of cricket. The 33-year-old Uttar Pradesh pacer, who played as a right-arm fast bowler, featured for Indian cricket team in four ODIs and a lone T20I. Tyagi took to Twitter to post a note on his official account and explained about his decision to retire.

“Cricket is my very existence and soul. It is very difficult to do this but to move ahead, we must let go. Having said that I could have played more and given more to the country,” Tyagi wrote in a statement.

“I am cricket and nothing in my life will be above it. I am most thankful to my father, who held me and and took me to practice everyday with a vision to see me play for India. Even today, he wishes to see me in blue jersey again, his love for cricket and country is unparalleled,” he wrote.

Sudeep, who played for Uttar Pradesh in the Ranji Trophy, also played for MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Tyagi made an instant impact in his debut and made heads turn in the Ranji Trophy 2007-08 season, as he ended up with 41 wickets.
He was instrumental in helping Uttar Pradesh reach the final of Ranji Trophy. While a stress fracture plagued his career, in 2009, he played for India when Sri Lanka toured the country, but failed to cement his place. Tyagi played his last match for Indian cricket team against South Africa in the 2010 Ahmedabad ODI.
