Spirit of cricket: Stand-in captain Rahane wins millions of hearts with fantastic gesture after India's biggest win
While India won the game and registered their biggest victory in whites, the stand-in skipper won a million hearts with his gesture
The Indian Cricket team hammered Afghanistan on their dream debut in international Test circuit at the Chinnaswami Stadium on June 15. At the same time, stand-in skipper Ajinkya Rahane made sure that he must set the best-ever example of true sportsman spirit.
As a captain, he took never seen before step on the cricket field. India beat Afghanistan by an inning and 262 runs which also marked their biggest Test victory ever. Later, while posing for photographs with the match trophy, Rahane came forward and called the entire Afghanistan team to share the frame with them.

After batting first, India put a competitive total of 474 runs after batting till first session on Day 1. In reply, the Afghanistan batting line-up fell like a house of cards and were forced follow-on. While saving the same, the guests tumbled consecutively for the second time and gave away the game to the hosts by an innings and 262 runs.
