Sourav Ganguly’s Health Is ‘Stable’ After Angioplasty, Might Get Discharged On Sunday

Ex-Indian skipper and current chief of the BCCI, Sourav Ganguly is reportedly stable after his second angioplasty. Doctors say ‘All his vital parameters are normal’

Former Indian skipper, ‘dada’, Sourav Ganguly is reportedly stable after his second angioplasty this week. Two more stents were rooted to clear his clogged coronary arteries. According to doctors, the 48-year old had a good night’s sleep and is looking good to recover soon. He will be under observation and analyzed on Friday after which the next course of action for Ganguly’s treatment would be decided.

"Sourav Ganguly's health condition is stable. He had a goodsleep at night. All his vital parameters are normal. Doctors will carry out necessary tests on him in the morning. Senior doctors will carry out a thorough checkup following which a decision will be taken whether to move him to another ward,” a hospital official told the PTI.

Ganguly was made the BCCI chief on 23 October 2019. He was previously the chief of Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB). There is a pending case in the Supreme Court against his name as one cannot hold an official position for six years straight according to the BCCI constitution. As Ganguly was the president of CAB from 2015, his six years period is over. Although, there isn’t any clarity on the issue from Supreme Court and thus, Ganguly will remain the BCCI chief as of now.
