Shubman Gill (India)

The rising star of Indian cricket had an outstanding September, accumulating 480 ODI runs with an impressive average of 80. Gill's remarkable performance helped India secure victory in the Asia Cup. He notched up two half-centuries and a memorable century against Bangladesh. Gill continued his stellar form in the ODI series against Australia, where he made an excellent 74 in the opening match and followed it up with a century, scoring 104 in the next game. Unfortunately, Gill missed India's World Cup 2023 opener against Australia due to illness.

Mohammed Siraj (India)

Right-arm fast bowler Mohammed Siraj delivered several exceptional spells in September, but his standout moment came during the Asia Cup final against Sri Lanka, where he claimed a sensational six-wicket haul, finishing with figures of 6/21. Siraj played a pivotal role in helping India clinch the coveted Asia Cup trophy. Throughout the month, he took a total of 11 wickets with an impressive average of 17.27.

Dawid Malan (England)

The dependable left-handed batsman showcased his class during most of September. Dawid Malan's standout performance came during England's ODI series against New Zealand, where he claimed the Player of the Series award. Malan contributed significantly with scores of 54, 96, and 127, demonstrating his prowess ahead of the upcoming ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup in India. He also maintained an impressive overall strike rate of 105.72 during the New Zealand series.

The ICC Women’s Player of the Month nominations include Chamari Athapaththu, who earned her second Player of the Month nomination. Her exceptional contributions with both bat and ball inspired Sri Lanka to their first-ever series win on English soil.

Additionally, South Africa's Nadine de Klerk and Laura Wolvaardt secured nominations for their remarkable performances in the ODI and T20 series against Pakistan and New Zealand.
