Shark Tank’s Anupam Mittal Offers To Buy Cricket Kit For Young Nepal Cricketer

Anupam Mittal utilized social media to pledge his sponsorship for top-notch cricket equipment for the aspiring athlete, urging the online community to assist him in reaching out to Rajbanshi

Anupam Mittal, the founder of Shaadi.com and one of the judges on Shark Tank India, has come forward to assist Lalit Rajbanshi, a young cricketer from Nepal, following the widespread circulation of a photo showing him meeting Indian captain Rohit Sharma.

Mittal extended his generous offer in response to Rajbanshi's publicized struggles with the lack of proper cricket equipment. In a post on social media site X (formerly known as Twitter), Nepalese cricketer Lalit Rajbanshi had said: "I've bat to play in nets, but I don't have a suitable one for international matches. During actual games, I rely on my teammates' bats & they lend me their bats. I mostly use Kushal Bhurtel's bat."

The entrepreneur utilized the micro-blogging platform to pledge his sponsorship for top-notch cricket equipment for the aspiring athlete, urging the online community to assist him in reaching out to Rajbanshi.

Talking about Nepal cricket, the team qualified for Asia Cup for the first time this year. They were grouped along side India and Nepal in Group A and did have their moments in both the matches but were outplayed against two top-ranked sides in the world. While India and Pakistan have gone on to secure a place for themselves in the Super Fours stage, Men in Blue since then have already registered a place in the final while Pakistan vs Sri Lanka fixture will decide who will be the other finalist.

In case, the PAK vs SL match gets abandoned due to rain, it will be Sri Lanka who forge ahead to the final as they have a better net run rate. Pakistan's NRR took a beating after the 228-run defeat against India in their Super Four face off.
