Sanju Samson Sweats It Out At NCA Ahead Of IND VS WI Limited Over Series

Samson has played 11 one-day internationals for the Men in Blue so far, scoring 330 runs at an average of 66 with two half-centuries under his belt.

Sanju Samson, the wicket-keeper batsman recently received an Indian Team call-up for the upcoming ODI series against West Indies, commencing on 27 July. He took to social media and posted pictures of his intense training session, post working out hard at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) gym in Bengaluru in a sporty black T-shirt, matching shorts, sports shoes, and a chain around his neck. The 28-year-old included an emoji of flexed biceps in the caption. The Rajasthan Royals skipper is all prepared to stage a stunning comeback in the ODI format.

It is Samson's second trip to the West Indies for the ODI series. Previously, during the three-match ODI series in July 2022, he recorded scores of 12, 54, and 6* respectively.  Samson has played 11 one-day internationals for the Men in Blue so far, scoring 330 runs at an average of 66 with two half-centuries under his belt.

Professionally Samson was last seen in action for Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) where the right-handed batter performed incredibly and hoarded 362 runs in 14 matches at a strike rate of 153.39, including three half-centuries.

With KL Rahul now being ruled out due to injury, Samson will now try to seize the chance of securing his position ahead of the 2023 World Cup. The ICC tournament will be held in India from October 5 to November 19.

IND vs WI ODI schedule and Timings:

Starting at 7 pm (IST) the ODI series is all set to commence from 27 July.

July 27: 1st ODI at Kensington Oval in Barbados

July 29: 2nd ODI at Kensington Oval in Barbados

August 1: 3rd ODI at Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad
