Captain's knock from Sangakkara helps Jamaica clinch last-over thriller
New Delhi: Jamaica Tallawahs handed Trinbango Knight Riders their first loss of the tournament. After having won two consecutive games with easy, the Dwayne Bravo led side could not pass the Tallawahs’ challenge.
Trinbago were bundled out for 147 with one ball to spare in their first innings, New Zealand hit-man Colin Munro top scored with 41 runs, while Darren Bravo’s 33-run knock took them closer to 150.
Tallawah’s skipper Kumar Sangakkara led from the front, smashing 47 runs as he opened innings with Lendl Simmons. Simmons added 38 runs to the scoreboard in close encounter that saw Tallawah’s seal victory with just 4 balls left.
Kesrick Willams scalped three wickets for the Jamaica outfit to claim the Man of the Match award. He looked superb with the ball but his celebration after dismissing Sunil Narine is a must watch!
