An Injury Scare For Rohit Sharma

During the India vs Ireland T20 World Cup 2024 match in New York, India captain Rohit Sharma was compelled to leave the field due to injury after scoring a half-century. Rohit suffered an upper arm injury from a delivery by Joshua Little during the ninth over of India's innings. Despite the injury, he hit the next two deliveries for sixes before departing from the field. Despite the injury, his demeanour at the post-match presentation seemed relaxed, describing his condition as "just a little sore." In the event of his absence, Yashasvi Jaiswal might step in to fill the void in the playing 11.

Contrasting Starts For India & Pakistan In T20 World Cup 2024

India will be confident about the upcoming high-stakes IND vs PAK match after their victory over Ireland, where they comfortably chased down a modest target with Rohit Sharma leading the charge with a well-made 52. Meanwhile, Pakistan's T20 World Cup journey got off to a shaky start with a loss to the USA. A defeat against India could severely dent their chances of progressing to the Super 8s, leaving them with a daunting task of winning their remaining matches against Ireland and Canada to stay in contention.
