Previously, the Men in Blue recorded a dominating performance against Pakistan as they outplayed them by seven wickets in a one-sided affair in Ahmedabad. The Indian bowlers delivered a superb spell as they bundled out the Pakistani team to just 191 runs in just 43 overs. For Pakistan, Babar Azam (50) and Mohammad Rizwan (49) tried to put them in a spot to achieve a total of around 300 but their innings collapsed and they could not even play the 50 overs.
Bowlers like Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, Mohammed Siraj, and Ravindra Jadeja scalped two wickets each as Pakistan lost eight wickets from 155/2 for just 39 runs. For India, skipper Rohit Sharma was the pick of the batters, smashing 86 runs. On the back of Rohit’s innings, India chased down the target in 30.3 overs.
