IND vs AUS 2020: Rohit Sharma Clears Fitness Test At NCA, Selectors To Decide On His Inclusion In Test Squad
Rohit underwent his fitness Test at the NCA earlier today and was declared fit by the physios following rehabilitation of his hamstring injury sustained during the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020).
Rohit Sharma has cleared his fitness test at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru and looks on track to join the India Test Squad in Australia ahead of the 3rd Test of the 4-match India vs Australia Border Gavaskar series.
Rohit will now await the official clearance from the national selectors to join test squad in Australia for the high octane Border Gavaskar Test series.
If Rohit gets the green signal from the selectors to board the flight 'Down Under', he will stand a good chance to play the third and fourth test for India post serving his mandatory 14-day quarantine period.
Earlier in the day, Rohit underwent his fitness Test at the NCA under the supervision of Rahul Dravid and was declared fit by the physios following rehabilitation of his hamstring injury sustained during the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020).
The batsman had reached the NCA in Bengaluru on November 19 and was set to undergo a fitness test on Friday (December 11).

Speaking to ANI, sources said the batsman is fit for the rigours of international cricket. "He has passed the fitness test and the future course of action will be decided by the BCCI and the selection committee," the source said.
The BCCI had informed of the decision to add Rohit to the squad for the Test series against Australia after initially excluding him from the tour due to the hamstring injury.
"The BCCI Medical Team has been monitoring Rohit Sharma's fitness and has briefed All-India Senior Selection Committee on the same. In consultation with Sharma, it has been decided to rest him for the ODIs and T20Is in Australia to regain full fitness and he has been included in India's Test squad for the BorderGavaskar Trophy," the BCCI said in a release on November 9.
While the Indian players who were part of the grand finale of IPL 2020 at UAE on November 10 joined up in a bio-secure bubble for the national team that very night in Dubai, Rohit flew back to India and later headed to the NCA to undergo his rehabilitation for his hamstring injury.
