CWC 2023 Warm Up Match Schedule: An official release from the International Cricket Council (ICC) has confirmed that warm-up matches will be held from 29 September to 3 October across three venues.
In anticipation of the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2023, the warm-up fixtures ahead of the actual tournament beginning on October 5 were also confirmed on Wednesday (August 23). An official release from the International Cricket Council (ICC) has confirmed that warm-up matches will be held from 29 September to 3 October across three venues in India - Guwahati, Hyderabad and Thiruvananthapuram.
In addition, it is being reported that although matches will be 50 overs per side, they will be not be granted ODI status. This is because teams will be allowed to field all the 15 players of their squad to ensure match practice of all players heading into the ultimate trophy to fight for in ODI format. The actual tournament kicks off on October 5 with a face off between the 2019 finalists - England and New Zealand at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

The venue is also set to host quite a few other blockbuster fixtures with the much-anticipated India vs Pakistan match scheduled to be played here on October 15. The final of the tournament will also be played here on November 19.
