ODI World Cup 2023: BCCI Secretary Jay Shah Announces Free Drinking Water For Fans

ODI World Cup 2023 in India: The provision of free drinking water at the stadiums is one of the things that will make the cricket fans have an amazing experience at the venues.

ODI World Cup 2023: As India prepares to host the ODI World Cup 2023, the anticipation among supporters for the cricket spectacle is great. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Secretary Jay Shah dropped what could be a game-changing move with regards to the cricket-viewing experience for fans in India. Taking to his social media, Shah announced the BCCI's decision to make free mineral and packaged drinking water available to spectators present at the stadium.

In his message, he also encouraged cricket fans in India to stay well-hydrated and fully enjoy the ICC Cricket World Cup tournament which gets underway with the match between England and New Zealand at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad on Thursday (October 5).

"Exciting times ahead as we anticipate the first ball of @ICC @cricketworldcup 2023!I am proud to announce that we're providing FREE mineral and packaged drinking water for spectators at stadiums across India. Stay hydrated and enjoy the games! Let's create unforgettable memories during CWC 2023! #EngvsNZ #CWC23", he tweeted.

The provision of free drinking water at the stadiums is one of the things that will make the cricket fans have an amazing experience at the venues.

This is not the only move that the BCCI has announced to enhance the experience of the fans at the stadiums, there were discussions on improving various aspects of stadium facilities. Housekeeping, cleanliness, and restroom facilities are all under strong supervision of the BCCI. Ensuring that the stadiums are well-maintained and hygienic, BCCI are looking to make a positive impact on the experience of match-viewing by the cricket fans.

The BCCI had faced heavy backlash by the cricket fans on social media over the shortage of tickets after the first phase of ticket sales for the tournament. Shortly after that, the BCCI acknowledged the disappointment of the fans and confirmed a release of 400,00 more tickets on September 8, 2023 for the highly anticipated tournament.
