MS Dhoni Duped: The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain has filed a criminal case against Mihir Diwakar and Soumya Vishwash of Aarka Sports and Management Limited in a Ranchi court.
MS Dhoni, the cricketing legend, has lodged a crimimal case against Mihir Diwakar and Soumya Vishwash of Aarka Sports and Management Limited in a Ranchi court, confirmed a report from news agency IANS. From what is being learnt so far, Diwakar had allegedly entered into an agreement with the ex-India cricket captain in 2017 to establish a cricket academy globally. However, Diwakar did not adhere to the conditions specified in the agreement as per which Aarka Sports was obligated to pay a franchise fee and share profits as per the agreements's terms, both of which were not honoured.
It is further being learnt that despite numerous attempts, the terms and conditions which were outlined in the agreement were not adhered to which is what prompted Dhoni to serve a legal notice on August 15, 2021. However, even that did not yield any result. Dayanand Singh, who is representing Dhoni through Vidhi Associates, has asserted that they were deceived and cheated by Aarka Sports which resulted in excess of Rs 15 Crore.

The wicketkeeper-batter welcomed the year with his family and friends with Rishabh Pant also spotted with him. The 42-year-old had also spent Christmas in Dubai. While Dhoni has retired from international cricket, he continues to ply his trade in the IPL. On the other hand, Pant has been out from action ever since his accident in December 2022 and is likely to make a comeback in competitive cricket this year. He was spotted at the Delhi Capitals (DC) auction table during the bidding war on December 19 and might lead the franchise in the coming season.
