Mitchell Starc To Rejoin Australia Squad Ahead Of 1st Test vs India After Family Illness
Australian pacer will rejoin the squad in Adelaide on Monday ahead of the first test against India at the venue from December 17.
Ace Aussie fast bowler Mitchell Starc will rejoin the Australian squad on Monday ahead of the first Test against India at the Adelaide Oval. The 30-year-old New South Wales cricketer opted out of the T20 series, which India won 2-1, due to a family illness.
Earlier Starc was granted compassionate leave from the team's bio-secure hub after the first T20 match against India after being informed of a family illness. Starc has informed the Australian team management that he is ready to re-enter the hub in Adelaide and will fly from Sydney on Monday with fellow Test squad members in Australia A team.
Justin Langer said, “We feel for Mitch at this difficult time and we’re happy he has taken time out to spend with his family".
“We look forward to welcoming him back into the squad on Monday.”

Australian cricket team up until recently had suffered from injury issues with two key players in David Warner and Will Pucovski missing out on the opening day/night Test matches.
With the return of Mitchell Starc, Australia will be with their full strength pace attack against India in the Test series.
