India vs Sri Lanka 3rd Test, Day 3, Delhi, live scorecard
Bad light forces stumps on Day 3
The umpires are having a look at the light meter again and this time they have decided that play cannot continue. So that's stumps on Day 3 with Sri Lanka at 356 for 9, trailing India by 180 runs. Captain Dinesh Chandimal is standing tall at 147 even as Ashwin brought India back with 3 for 90 in the last session. One have to say, Sri Lanka would be the disappointed lot after all the hard work done by Angelo Mathews and Dinesh Chandimal. They lost 5 wickets in final session after Mathews and Chandimal had batted for 6 long hours, starting from the last session on Day 2.
SL collapse
The wickets are tumbling and way too quickly for Sri Lanka's comfort. India have staged a meraculous comeback in the last session. After Roshan Silva, Dickwella, Lakmal and Gamage also take the long walk back. Sri Lanka are 9 down.
Two quick wickets!
Samarawickrama and the debutant Roshen Silva are dismissed off Ishant Sharma and Ravichandran Ashwin respectively.
Time for Chandimal to lifts his bat
There it is! 10th Test ton for Dinesh Chandimal, also his second against India. A big moment for the Sri Lankan Test skipper!
Another session that belongs to Sri Lanka! They owe it to their mainstays Mathews and Chandimal who put on a tall stand of 181 runs.
Tea, Day 3
Mathews departs for 111. SL 256/4
'Angel'o Mathews hits 8th Test hundred. Sri Lanka 211/3

DROPPED! The second slip conundrum continues for India!
Mathews marching towards his first Test hundred in India. He was currently playing on 92.
The men concerned make their way out to the middle. MATHEWS and CHANDIMAL will look to continue their 117-run stand. RAVICHANDRAN ASHWIN will start off the session with the ball.
We're back! Sri Lanka would be breathing easy at the moment :)
Lunch Day 2
Sri Lanka 192/3. Angelo Mathews 90 (194), Dinesh Chandimal 52 (165)
16th Test fifty for Dinesh Chandimal
Third consecutive fifty for Chandimal and his 16th in Test cricket.
Sri Lanka: 174/3 (63 overs). Angelo Mathews 80 (173), Dinesh Chandimal 45 (137)
The Sri Lankan batsmen have looked solid and are battling it out there. The Indians have troubled them without any success. This pair is looking good and needs to carry on for some more time.
Virat Kohli and Mohammed Shami are back on the field. The former was struggling with cramps at Eden Gardens as well. He played a marathon knock earlier in the game and the cramps might be an issue. He is back so it is probably not a concern.
Kohli has gone off the field. We do not know what the reason is exactly. Meanwhile, Nigel Llong has given an official warning to Ishant Sharma for running on the danger zone. Hang on, it is Mathews who has been warned. Indeed, he was the one who was running on the danger area. He has a habit of doing this. The umpire has rightly reminded him about it.
Sri Lanka reach 146/3 after 50 overs
Ishant Sharma to bowl from other end..
The umpires and the players are ready to take the field. The Sri Lankan pair of Mathews and Chandimal are out to battle it against the Indian bowlers. Jadeja will resume his over - 3 balls left in the over.
DAY 3, SESSION 1
After India, aided by a Kohli double ton, a century from Vijay and a half from Rohit, posted a mammoth score, their bowlers continued the rich vein of form. Shami struck off the first ball to get rid of Karunaratne before Ishant sent Dhananjaya back after the latter's feet were just not going anywhere. Jadeja and Ashwin bowled some testing overs as well before countering some resistance from Mathews and Chandimal.
The experienced Lankan duo is battling on with an unbeaten 56-run stand and would aim to avoid the follow-on first up and then reduce the deficit
WELCOME BACK
It wasn't just another day of Test cricket yesterday. It wasn't just about runs, wickets and milestones. It was also about the environment - pollution. The same thing hovers around as we enter Day 3 of the third Test between India and Sri Lanka played in Delhi.
