Has KL Rahul Announced His Retirment From Cricket? Star India cricketer KL Rahul has made a mysterious post on social media. The Karnataka star recently uploaded a story on Instagram which seems to have sparked all sorts of speculations among fans. Notably, KL Rahul was in action in the ODI series against Sri Lanka and scored 31 runs in his 2 innings.

In his Instagram story, Rahul wrote: "I have an announcement to make, stay tuned." This was enough to break the internet with a section of fans wondering if Rahul was indeed considering retirement while other suggesting he could announce that he would be playing for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in IPL 2025.

Is KL Rahul Retiring From Cricket?

Amid all this, a separate social media has also gone viral on social media in which shows a screengrab attributed to Rahul's account with the story saying: "After much reflection and consideration, I have decided to announce my retirement from professional cricket. This decision has not been easy, as this sport has been a significant part of my life for many years."

However, the retirement announcement post appears to be a fake announcement, aimed at making fun by the fun clubs while the announcement thagt Rahul is going to make is surely not revolving around his retirement with the cricketer being one of India's stars in the ODI World Cup 2023 last year.

KL Rahul Has Over 2000 Runs In All Three Formats For India

KL Rahul has played across all three formats for India. He has played 50 Tests, 77 ODIs and 72 T20Is for the country, scoring 2863, 2851 and 2265 runs in the three formats respectively. With Rishabh Pant out with an injury, Rahul did a remarkable job with the gloves behind the stumps in the ODI World Cup 2023 while also playing his part with the bat.
