The Karnataka star recently uploaded a story on Instagram which seems to have sparked all sorts of speculations among fans. Notably, KL Rahul was in action in the ODI series against Sri Lanka and scored 31 runs in his 2 innings.
In his Instagram story, Rahul wrote: "I have an announcement to make, stay tuned." This was enough to break the internet with a section of fans wondering if Rahul was indeed considering retirement while other suggesting he could announce that he would be playing for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in IPL 2025.

However, the retirement announcement post appears to be a fake announcement, aimed at making fun by the fun clubs while the announcement thagt Rahul is going to make is surely not revolving around his retirement with the cricketer being one of India's stars in the ODI World Cup 2023 last year.
