Australia will be heavily missing the services of Josh Hazlewood for the remainder of the series, but have a worthy replacement in the form of Scott Boland, who not only boasts a solid record in Tests in Australia, but finds his best form when up against India.
Also, on top of that, Melbourne Cricket Ground is the home ground of the right-arm fast bowler, and Indian batters will be pretty much vary of the threat Scott Boland possesses.
Replacement Of Josh Hazlewood Yet To Be Named
It is a no-brainer that Josh Hazlewood will be replaced by Scott Boland in the Playing XI for the 4th Test at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground in Melbourne, but the main question is, who will replace Josh Hazlewood in the Australia squad for 4th and 5th Test?
Cricket Australia are yet to name a replacement, and all eyes will be now on Day 5 of the third Test, as Australia will be without Josh Hazlewood, and the bulk of the workload will once again shift on the shoulders of skipper Pat Cummins, and Mitchell Starc.
Mitchell Marsh can chip-in as the third seamer option, and Nathan Lyon can be assisted by Travis Head and Marnus Labuschagne as fellow spin options, and Australia, if they are to avoid their marquee bowlers hitting fatigue, they will be needing the services of their part-timers at The Gabba.
