Jos Buttler Takes Stunning One-Handed Diving Catch To Dismiss Quinton de Kock In ENG vs SA T20 World Cup Clash- WATCH

Jofra Archer's one-handed catch helped England see the back of Quinton de Kock in ENG vs SA, T20 World Cup 2024 clash.

Jos Buttler, England's wicketkeeper-batter, took a sensational one-handed catch to get rid of South Africa's Quinton de Kock during the teams' face off in the Super Eights stage of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 in St Lucia on Friday (June 21). De Kock was looking in sublime nick for the Proteas before he got a thick edge that seemed to be flying away from the keeper but a one-handed flying effort from the Three Lions stumper brought an end to De Kock's knock.

The dismissal happened in the fifth ball of the 12th over of the innings which was being bowled by Jofra Archer. It was a short-pitched delivery with pace off and De Kock went after it but only managed an edge that was grabbed by the England captain behind the stumps.

Quinton de Kock's Dismissal Changed Complexion Of South Africa's Innings

As it turned out, De Kock's dismissal changed the way South Africa's innings was shaping up. While they were 92/1 in the 12th over before De Kock's wicket, eventually they managed to post 163/6 in their 20 overs. After De Kocks' departure, Heinrich Klaasen and Aiden Markram departed in quick succession that slowed the flow of runs preventing the Men From the Rainbow nation from posting a total that they would have comfortably managed had they gone about things the way De Kock was going.

Archer was a tad expensive but was the most successful bowler for England, picking 3 wickets for 40 runs off his 4 overs. Adil Rashid (1/20) and Moeen Ali (1/25) were the other wicket-takers for the Three Lions.
