Jamaican Sprinter Yohan Blake Praises Virat Kohli For His Captaincy, Also Believes Gill Is An ‘Excellent Batsman’
The second fastest man on the planet, Yohan Blake posted a video on Twitter in which he is seen analyzing the first Test between India and England. The 2011 World Champion was impressed by Kohli’s captaincy.
Yohan Blake, a Jamaican sprinter who had won a gold medal in 2011 World Championship and also a silver at the 2012 London Olympics posted a video praising the Indian cricket tem even after the loss in the India vs England 1st Test. Team India’s fan following has a world-wide reach and many celebrities outside the world of cricket keep on saying things about the Indian team. In the video, he was seen praising the Indian team and Virat Kohli’s captaincy.
He said: “What I like about the Indian team is that Virat Kohli doesn’t find any excuses. He takes the blame for everything. He didn’t find any excuses. He said we need to go to the dressing room and come back. That’s what I love about his captaincy.” Blake was all praises for the Indian team and especially Virat Kohli for being a gentleman even after the defeat of his team.
He also said that “Test Cricket, absolutely the best!” Blake believes that Shubhman Gill is an excellent Test batsman and he loves the way he conductshimself, about Gill, Yohan said: “Shubhman Gill is an excellent batsman for Test cricket. I love Teat cricket as it mentally tests you.”

Yohan is a big cricket fan and considers cricket to be his first love. He had played cricket as a child in Jamaica as a fast bowler. He is friends with other Jamaican cricketers like Chris Gayle. While analyzing the first India vs England Test, he said: “Wonderful Test, England and India. I must say, Joe Root and England team well played. Jimmy Anderson brilliant as ever. Age is just a number and Jimmy proves it all the time.
With Indian one down, the second Test would be interesting. I am looking forward for the second Test.”
India and England will play their second Test match in V=Chennai from 13 February.
