Who Could Delhi Capitals Field In Place Of Injured Rishabh Pant In Playing XI For Next Few Games In IPL 2020
Delhi Capitals don't have too many options with the willow to replace Pant in the kind of the value he brings with the bat to the team. The best alternate to replace Pant in his role as an aggressor in the middle order could be Delhi's hard hitting all-rounder Lalit Yadav, who is known to be an explosive finisher in the domestic circuit.
In a major setback to Delhi Capitals (DC) in the ongoing thirteenth edition of the IPL (IPL 2020) at UAE, the franchise might be without the services of their hard-hitting keeper-batsman Rishabh Pant for a minimum of 7 to 10 days as he has suffered a grade 1 hamstring strain. DC skipper Shreyas Shreyas Iyer confirmed that Pant has been advised at least a week’s rest by the doctors.
Rishabh Pant had to miss out Delhi Capitals (DC) game against Mumbai Indians (MI) which ended in a loss for Iyer and Co nad moved them to second place behind league leaders DC.
Australian wicket-keeper Alex Carey replaced Pant in the playing XI against Mumbai as DC has to forcefully leave out Windies power hitter Shimron Hetmyer from the team to keep the 4 foreign players combination intact.
Pant's absence might force the Iyer-led DC think tank to make a change into the playing XI for the next couple of matches as the tournament gets into the business end and DC who are comfortably placed at the second spot would not like to lose momentum..
While DC do have an apt replacement behind the stumps for Pant in the form of Australian keeper Alex Carey, they would be looking at someone who can provide the provide the innings with a late flourish as Pant does for them with superlative consistency..Carey who is tidy behind the stumps is known to be a quick run-geter down the order but lacks the power hitting dimension in his game.

The best alternate to replace Pant in his role as an aggressor in the middle order could be Delhi's hard hitting all-rounder Lalit Yadav, who is known to be an explosive finisher in the domestic circuit. Yadav has a strike rate of 136-plus over 30 matches in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
Delhi would also like to feature Windies import Shimron Hetmyer along with their South African pace duo of Kagiso Rabada and Anrich Nortje as the power hitter can score some whirlwind cameos along with Australian Marcus Stoinis to give the much required punch in their batting during the crucial death overs.
Delhi has been struck by major injury woes as they have already lost leg spinner Amit Mishra and Ishant Sharma in the tournament due to injury
