Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma records in India vs Pakistan Asia Cup 2023 Super 4 match: Indian cricket team is all set to take on arch-rivals Pakistan in their first match of the ongoing Asia Cup 2023 Super Fours stage at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, on Sunday (September 10). IND vs PAK Asia Cup 2023 Super-4 match, likely to be hampered by rain, is scheduled to kickstart at 3 PM IST.

Senior India batters Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, who are the backbone of India's batting lineup, got out cheaply against Pakistan in their Group A match. The duo will aim to bounce back this time by scoring big runs.

Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are also nearing big milestones. India's all-format captain Rohit Sharma, who returned to scoring ways by scoring 74 not out off 59 deliveries against Nepal recently, is 78 runs away from becoming the only the sixth Indian cricketer to score 10,000 or more runs in ODIs.

As of now, Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Sourav Ganguly, Rahul Dravid, and MS Dhoni are the only five cricketers who have scored 10,000 or more runs in One-Day-Internationals (ODIs).

Rohit Sharma has so far scored 9922 runs in 246 ODIs at an average of 48.87. He is the only Indian player to have scored three double centuries in ODIs. If Rohit manages to complete 10,000 ODI runs in IND vs PAK Asia Cup 2023 Super-4 match today, he will be the 15th cricketer overall to join the elite club.

Virat Kohli nearing a big record

Indian batting icon Virat Kohli, who has so far featured in 277 ODIs for India, needs 98 runs to complete 13,000 runs in ODIs. If he attains this record today, the legendary batting star will become fifth cricketer after Sachin Tendulkar, Kumar Sangakkara, Ricky Ponting, and Sanath Jayasuriya to join the elite club.

If Virat completes 13,000 ODI runs, he will also surpass Sachin Tendulkar to become the fastest cricketer to score 13,000 runs in ODIs. Sachin completes 13K runs in ODI after playing over 300 ODI innings, whereas Virat has featured in 277 ODIs so far.
