Ind vs Aus: Virat Kohli Registers An 'Unwarranted Record' Even After India's Win In Third ODI

India vs Australia, 2020-21: It was just a consolation win as India have already lost the ODI series by losing two consecutive matches (first two ODIs) against Australia. On the other hand, after being dismissed for 63 in the third One-Day-International, Indian captain Virat Kohli will finish this year without a century in 50-overs format for the first time in a career of 12 years.

For Indian cricket team, the start of the Australian tour was not as expected. However, a stunning bowling performance from Jasprit Bumrah, Shardul Thakur and T. Natrajan after an unbeaten 150-run partnership between all-rounders Pandya and Jadeja for the sixth wicket helped the visitors avoid a humiliating series whitewash against Australia. India defeated Australia by 13-runs to win the third One-Day-International at Manuka Oval, Canberra on Wednesday.

Ind vs Aus: Virat Kohli will end a calendar year without an ODI century for the first time ever since his international debut

It was just a consolation win as India have already lost the ODI series by losing two consecutive matches (first two ODIs) against Australia. On the other hand, after being dismissed for 63 in the third One-Day-International, Indian captain Virat Kohli will finish this year without a century in 50-overs format for the first time in a career of 12 years.

Kohli will finish this year without a century for the first time since making his ODI debut in 2008. Kohli is the only batsman currently close to the total number of centuries scored by India's legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar. Sachin has scored a total 49 centuries in ODI cricket and Kohli is now just six centuries away from Sachin's 49 ODI centuries.

His average has never been below 50 in between year 2012 and 2019.
