Sanju Samson's Chance To Make Cricketing History In IND vs SA 2nd T20I
Sanju Samson's spectacular 50-ball 107 played an important role in India's commanding 61-run victory over South Africa in the opening T20I.
Senior batter Sanju Samson, who scored a century in the series opener, has opportunity to set a major record in IND vs SA 2nd T20I at St George's Park Cricket Ground in Gqeberha, South Africa.
If Samson scores a century in IND vs SA 2nd T20I, he will become first batsman in world cricket to score a hat-trick of centuries in T20 matches. So far, only three other batsmen have managed to score centuries in two consecutive T20 matches: France's Gustav Mckeon, South Africa's Rilee Rossouw, and England's Firmin Schaum.
Earlier in October, Samson had scored a T20 century against Bangladesh, and then followed it up with another century in the first T20I against South Africa. With two consecutive tons in the shortest format, Samson is one century away from creating history.

In first T20I against Proteas in Durban, 29-year-old Samson struck a century off 47 balls, with 10 sixes and 7 fours. This remarkable knock made him the fastest Indian to score a century against South Africa. He became the first Indian player to score back-to-back centuries in T20 internationals.
Samson's spectacular 50-ball 107 played an important role in India's commanding 61-run victory over South Africa in series opener. With this win, India leads four-match IND vs SA T20I series 1-0. Tonight, under Suryakumar Yadav's captaincy, India has the opportunity to take a decisive 2-0 lead. For South Africa, a series defeat on home soil would be a major setback.
Sanju Samson reflects on his early struggles in international cricket
"I have faced a lot of failures in my career. I think when you go through that failure, you have lot of doubts in your mind. People definitely say that social media definitely plays a role," Samson told reporters in post-match press conference.
"But you also think a lot about yourself. Sanju, are you not made for international level? I think you are doing well in IPL. Why are you not doing well internationally? So I have a lot of such thoughts. But after so many years of experience, I know what my ability is."
