IND vs SA, 2nd T20I, Weather Update: Clear Skies Looming Over Mohali Guarantees Full Game
In what comes as good news for the die hard cricket fans, the weather gods are expected to be kind for the second T20I clash which will take place in Mohali.
The series opener of the 3-match T20 series between India and South Africa was washed out away at the HPCA Stadium Dharamsala owing to incessant rains. After the first match getting abandoned, fans are expecting the rain to stay away from Mohali which is playing host to the second ODI later in the day.
In what comes as good news for the die hard cricket fans, the weather gods are expected to be kind for the second T20I clash which will take place in Mohali.
As per the forecast for Mohali,clear skies shall loom over the PCA Stadium at Mohali during match hours, with no interruption likely to take place during the course of the game . The temperature will be around the 30°C, mark but the players from either side could find the going tough with high humidity (which reads around 70-75%) levels . Light south-easterly and east-southeasterly winds are expected right through the evening and the precipitation levels will remain low.
As far as the track goes at the PCA Stadium, the deck is expected to be a batting beauty. Mohali has always been known as a high-scoring venue in Twenty20s. The pitch offers good bounce, which both the bowlers and batsmen can exploit.
Daljit Singh, who recently quit as chairman of the BCCI pitches and grounds committee, was the Mohali stadium’s curator since the mid 1990s. He feels the venue has changed from being bowler-friendly to one which now helps the batsmen more.
