IND vs ENG: Zaheer Khan Feels Bumrah 'Channeled His Anger The Right Way' After England's 'Provocation'

IND vs ENG: Zaheer says the way Bumrah performed in the second Test after channeling his anger constructively, was worth watching.

IND vs ENG: India last beat England in the Test series on their own soil in 2007. Former Team India pacer Zaheer Khan, who took 20 wickets in three Tests of the series, played an instrumental role in the win. Zaheer Khan has now made a big statement about Jasprit Bumrah's performance in the second Test. Zaheer has said that provoking Bumrah in the second Test cost England dearly and if Bumrah performs like this every time he gets angry, he should continue to do so in all the upcoming matches.

Zaheer said, "The way Bumrah performed in the second Test after channeling his anger the right way was worth watching. I think he should continue to perform against opponents in the same way. When he was unable to get a single wicket, he would have been quite angry with his performance."  (on Cricbuzz)

However, Bumrah channeled his anger correctly.

At the same time, Zaheer said, "The way England's fast bowlers used frequent bouncers against Bumrah during India's batting, followed by their constant attempts to provoke him. All these things motivated Bumrah, and he channeled his anger. The way he used his anger to fuel his outstanding performance while bowling during England's second innings was worth watching."

At the same time, he said, "After watching Bumrah bowl in the second innings, the players of Team England must have repented their provocative actions against the India bowler."

'Jelly Bean' incident that took place with Zaheer in 2007:

Zaheer Khan similarly fought back during England's second innings by converting his anger into a spectacular performance after the 'Jelly Bean' incident in Nottingham during the second Test on the tour of England in 2007. Zaheer took five wickets in the innings to give his team a resounding victory.

In fact, Zaheer Khan was batting in India's first innings. Meanwhile, former England batsman Kevin Pietersen, who was standing at slip, started throwing jelly beans at him. Zaheer was deeply angered by his actions. A heated exchange of words also took place between him and Zaheer. England suffered Zaheer's wrath in the second innings when the pacer took five wickets for 75 runs.
