IND vs ENG, 4th Test: England Won The Toss And Chose To Bat In The Final Test Match Against India

India is set to take on England in the 4th and final test of the test series to grab a possition in the WTC final

England have won the toss and chose to bat against India.This the final and the decider Test match against England today. After winning the toss, Joe Root revealed that England want to make the most of first innings. He also revealed that his team trust their ability. In team changes, England have bought in Dan Lawrence and Dom Bess, instead of Jofra Archer and Stuart Broad.

After losing the toss, Virat Kohli revealed that even he would elected to bat, as its a good wicket to bat first. In terms of changes, Jasprit Bumrah has been replaced by Mohammed Siraj.

The Indian team would look to secure a spot in the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) final, when the Virat Kohli-led side takes on England in the fourth and final Test, starting March 4, at the Narendra Modi Stadium, popularly known as Motera Stadium, in Ahmedabad.

India has taken an unassailable 2-1 lead in the four-match Test series against England. India needs to win the final Test match to be the second finalist in the World Test Championship.

If England, somehow, manages to win the final Test and thereby draw the series, then Australia will qualify for the WTC final.

Rohit Sharma is 19 runs away from becoming the first opener and the second Indian to hit 1000 runs in the World Test Championship. Rohit could also become the fastest Asian opener to 1000 Test runs.

James Anderson is currently on 898 international wickets. He is two scalps away from being the third fast bowler after Wasim Akram and Glenn McGrath to bag 900 wickets. The veteran bowler will be the sixth overall to the feat.

Virat Kohli will equal MS Dhoni in leading India in most Test matches on Thursday - 60.

Kohli needs 17 runs to become the third captain after Ricky Ponting and Graeme Smith to amass 12,000 international runs.
