Post winning the Border- Gavaskar Trophy, the Rohit Sharma-led Indian team will be locking horns with Australia in the 1st One Day Internationals (ODI) match, which is scheduled to be played on March 17. The Men in Blue had a dominant run at home as they outplayed both New Zealand and Sri Lanka in the ODI and T20I series. Australia on the other side, defeated England 3-0.

India and Australia will play a total of three ODIs against Australia. For Australia, Steve Smith will continue to lead the side as Pat Cummins could not come to India because of her mother's demise.  Rohit Sharma will not be taking part in the 1st ODI due to some family reasons. In his absence, Hardik Pandya will lead the Men in Blue.
