Laud came from every corner of the society, even PM Modi expressed that he was "overjoyed" by the win against Australia. In this time, former England player Kevin Pietersen asked India not to celebrate "too much".

It has not even been 24-hours since India clinched the historic Border-Gavaskar Test series 2-1 against Australia, warnings have been thrown at the Indian cricket team to not celebrate the win "too much".

On the fifth and last day of the Brisbane Test, India rode on multiple performances from the batsman in order to chase down a tough 328-run at the Gabba. From Cheteshwar Pujara's 211-ball marathon for just 56 runs to Shubman Gill's hearty knock of 91 to the heroic innings of Rishabh Pant (89 off 138 balls), it was an all-around effort by entire team India to crush the Aussies at their turf.

This series win becomes even more special as injuries plagued the Indian side. In total, 10 players got or were injured during this series down under and even regular captain Virat Kohli was on paternity leave.

After the win, laud came from every corner of society. Even PM Modi expressed that he was "overjoyed" by the series win against Australia. In this time, former England player Kevin Pietersen asked India not to celebrate too much as the real threat, England cricket team, is soon touring the subcontinent.

"India - yeh aitihaasik jeet ka jashn manaye kyuki yeh sabhi baadhao ke khilaap hasil hui hai...LEKIN, ASLI TEAM toh kuch hafto baad a rahi hai jisse aapko harana hoga apne ghar mein... Satark rahe, 2 saptaah mein bahut adhik jashn manaane se saavadhaan rahen," the South African born batsman tweeted out in Hindi. His statement basically translates, "Ïndia please celebrate this historic win as it came after crossing many hurdles. However, the real team (England) is touring in a few weeks time, whom you have to beat at your own home. Beware, in two weeks, not to celebrate too much and be prepared."
