After a commanding victory over their rivals-Pakistan in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023, the Indian cricket team secured their third consecutive win in as many games, positioning them at the top of the league table. Indian players also made their mark in the rankings for the highest run-scorers and wicket-takers in the tournament.

Bumrah's impressive economy rate and fewer overs bowled distinguished him from competitors like New Zealand's Mitchell Santner and Matt Henry, who also had eight wickets.

India's spin duo of Ravindra Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav made their presence felt in the rankings by each taking two wickets against Pakistan.
