'He's My Jos Bhai': Yuzvendra Chahal Pens Heartfelt Message For Jos Buttler After Being Released By RR Ahead of IPL 2025 Auction
Yuzvendra Chahal shared a heartfelt message for his Rajasthan Royals teammate Jos Buttler on social media after both were released by the franchise ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction.
India ace spinner Yuzvendra Chahal shared a heartfelt message on social media for his Rajasthan Royals (RR) teammate Jos Buttler on November 8 (Friday). Rajasthan released Chahal and Buttler both ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega auctions. Buttler. England’s white-ball skipper, joined RR in 2018, while Chahal came on board in 2022, and the two have since built a strong camaraderie during their time with the franchise.
While Buttler and Chahal were released by the Rajasthan-based franchise, it remains to be seen if they will reacquire the players in the 2025 Mega Auction later this month. On October 31, RR announced their player retention list, keeping key players like Sanju Samson (₹18 crore), Yashasvi Jaiswal (₹18 crore), Riyan Parag (₹14 crore), Shimron Hetmyer (₹11 crore) and Sandeep Sharma (₹4 crore).

Taking to social media, Chahal uploaded clips of him and Buttler together at Rajasthan Royals and expressed his gratitude to the Englishman calling him ‘Jos bhai’.
“In 2022 I knew him as Jos Buttler. In 2024, he's my Jos bhai,” wrote Chahal in the heartfelt post.
Chahal further thanked Buttler for his support, expressing his appreciation for their time together and cheekily hoped that they might open the batting together someday.
“Loved every day being around you and only a few people know what you've done for me. Thank you for always standing by me. And hopefully, on some evening at 7.30 PM, we both will open the batting together,” Chahal added in the post.
