Two years ago in an interview, skipper Virat Kohli had explained his views on how he wants to raise his children.

Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli set the social media on fire by announcing that he and his wife Anushka Sharma are expecting their first child next year in January 2021. As soon as Virat shared the good news on twitter, his post went viral and his fans and followers swarmed the micro-blogging site to congratulate the celebrity couple. In an interview with ESPN, two years ago in 2018, Virat had explained his views on how he wants to raise his children. During the interview, the 31-year-old has said that he did not want his cricketing achievements or career to impact the lives of his children in any way. "I have a life. I have a family. I will have kids. They deserve all my time. That is something that is very, very clear and close to my heart. I want no part of my career being flashed into my house. I want no part of my trophies, my achievements, nothing in my house when our kids are growing up,” skipper Virat Kohli had said. Many veteran cricketers continue to play on the field even in their late thirties. Legendary wicket-keeper batsman MS Dhoni, who recently announced his retirement from international cricket on August 15, will be seen leading the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the Indian Premier League (IPL), slated to take place from September 19. Team India skipper Virat Kohli has been playing all three formats (T20, ODI, Test), including the Indian Premier League (IPL), since the past nine years. During an Instagram chat with England's former batsman Kevin Pietersen, the Delhi-lad had said that he might not continue to play all three formats of the day after the 2023 World Cup.
