Harbhajan Singh's Delivery To Gayle Reminds People Of Shane Warne's 'Ball Of The Century' - Watch

The incident transpired in the third over of the game when Harbhajan’s delivery came in sharp to West Indies great Chris Gayle and he completely failed to read the ball

Fans across the world are on cloud nine as they are witnessing their favorite former cricketers in the ongoing Legends League Cricket. Players like Gautam Gambhir, Chris Gayle, Harbhajan Singh, and Suresh Raina are featuring in this league. On Saturday, Harbhajan Singh while playing for Indian Maharajas took over all the limelight against World Giants.

The incident transpired in the third over of the game when Harbhajan’s delivery came in sharp to West Indies great Chris Gayle and he completely failed to read the ball. As a result, the ball went on to destroy the stumps. This delivery was identical to former spin legend Shane Warne’s ball of the century. Warne bowled that delivery to dismiss Mike Gatting at the 1993 Old Trafford Ashes Test.

Gayle took some time to understand as to what just happened. Harbhajan was also shocked but then his teammates came and started celebrating. Talking about the match, after choosing to bat first, Giants registered a total of 166/8 in 20 overs. Skipper Aaron Finch scored 53 off 31 balls while Shane Watson also made 55 off 32 balls. Harbhajan starred with the ball after scalping four wickets.

In reply, Maharajas’s skipper Gautam Gambhir smashed 68 off 42 balls but could not help his team win. They just fell short by two runs.  For Giants, Powell picked two wickets and Brett Lee, Tina Best, and Mpofu shared one wicket each among themselves.

Indian Maharajas, Asia Lions, and World Giants are the three teams taking part in this league. There are a total of 8 matches will be played among these three teams. All eight matches of the league will be played at Doha's West End Park International Cricket Stadium. The final match will be taking place on March 20. LLC 2023 is hosted by Qatar Cricket. Gautam Gambhir is leading the Indian team, while Shahid Afridi is the skipper of the Asia Lions. Ex-Aussie skipper Aaron Finch is captaining the World Giants.
